About Me
I recently to moved to Edinburgh from Glasgow, and not so recently from other places. I write, I read and I live quite happily with my fiance and a cat who thinks she’s a dog. I’m not a crazy cat lady. I’m 31, and I happen to be a wheelchair-user.
Lorna,
I’m an OLD friend of your Dad’s from high school and have always done what he told me to do – so here I am. I too have a cat (Mollie) who things she’s a dog – she fetches and everything – and am vehemently not a cat person. I just have a cat! It’s a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to reading your blogs regularly. If you’re dad says your wonderful then you must be!
Hello Marjory!
Nice to meet you, too! Dad speaks highly of you and I’m glad you’ll be reading me! Also glad to hear from a non-cat person who has a cat! I was actually afraid of them until CJ and her Mom before her, decided to keep me as her Human!
Please don’t think I’m being rude to ask this because I mean it in the nicest possible way! I don’t like to upset people by accident
Have you always been in your wheelchair — like, as a child? Or was it an accident when you were a bit older? Sorry if that was nosy. I’m a very curious person.
Oh, just a quick note to say that I’ve posted that NaNo pep-talk thing that I promised! If you wanted to read it, it’s up there looking scarily long
happy l bumped into you!

Hello!
I saw that you recently subscribed to me on Blipfoto – I clicked on your userinfo and that led me to here! I’m looking forward to getting to know you online through your writing and photos!

Forgive the ignorance, but Edinburgh is in Europe, right?
The short answer is yes!
Okay. you live in SCOTLAND!? holy crapballs
I spend a semester in London studying abroad… traveled a lot around Europe, but never made it there… dying to go. Just scared to travel right n0w with all the craziness going on the world!
So glad you stopped by my blog… can’t wait to get to know you better =)
Okay, so ‘holy crapballs’ is now the phrase of the week around here!
Thank you!
Hey, just to say thanks for your blog posts because your views on people’s opinions of wheelchair users have been absolutely invaluable in writing recently, since I’ve got a character who ended up partly paralysed after book two and is now in a wheelchair! (No one ever said I was nice to my characters) I may have lifted some quotes directly from your posts… so if I’m ever published I’ll be sure to give you credit, hee hee!
“Cat who thinks she’s a dog” made me giggle.
This is so totally random b/c I just started checking out your blog today, but I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve read so far so I nominated you for an award. Sorry for the long sentence. Hopefully this doesn’t come across as creepy. I don’t want to be creepy. But part of the rules did say recently discovered…..

I just added you back on Twitter, and then your comment came through on here! And so, welcome to my ramblings.
Hey I am a 30 year old wheelchair rider too. We have a dog who I wish was a cat who thinks it was a dog. Or any cat for that matter.
Hello!
Sarge (my Boyfriend) is highly allergic to the cat, I’m sure he’d be happy to ship her to a good home!
Welcome to the craziness. Glad I found you and your blog!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog! Sounds like you have a similar view on life. Look forward to reading more and hearing about your bucket list!
Hi,
Thanks for your visit, too. I like your blog and I look forward to reading more!
Hello, we just started following each others Twits (I’m Songspirit). Nice to see a friendly (kind of local) face around here, with around the same level of craziness I seem to display on occasion…..must be a Scottish thing. Loved your post about Mull – we went there and its fab. Glad you enjoyed it! We have a dog called Molly (who doesn’t think she is a cat, but definately believes she is human….) Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year? I am and I have a blog to commit my progress to… http://imgonnawriteabook.blogspot.com/ if you want to have a look (at all of the TWO posts I have there right now!)
Hello, again! It’s always nice to hear from locals! Yep, I’m doing NaNo this year, too. Thanks for checking in!
Lorna
Hello! Where did your last post go? I read it and tried to comment but it had gone!
It’s back! I had missed out a word and was editing, ha!
Should be here:

Hi Lorna! Thanks for following my blog. I have two kittens, and I think one of them has a multiple personality disorder. He likes dirty socks, the kitchen sponge, and my English Setter’s wagging tail. In other words, he likes to get sprayed with the water bottle when he gets into these things!
Anyway, I’m enjoying poking around your site and look forward to reading more of your posts!
